FAQ’s Related to SewGreen@Rochester’s Role as An Essential Business During the COVID-19 Pandemic:
Q: How many face masks can I make with one Mask Kit?
A: Each kit contains the supplies to make 10 masks.
Q: How many face masks can I cut from 1 yard of fabric?
A: You should be able to cut 8 masks from 1 yard, perhaps more depending on the width.
Q: Can I choose my fabrics?
A: You may specify solid or prints. We will do our best with the supplies on hand focusing on quality fabrics to best launder and protect our health. Any fabrics which do not work for you can be exchanged when we re-open. We reserve the right to limit fabric amounts based on our inventory.
Q: What if I can’t afford to pay for fabric right now?
A: We will donate fabric to you. If circumstances improve in the future, consider making a donation.
Q: Can I mail-order or will you deliver supplies?
A: No! We are not set up for mail order or delivery at this time.
Q: What if I can’t make the pick-up times?
A: Email us and we will try to accommodate you. This cannot be guaranteed.
Q: Should I bring completed masks to your shop?
A: No! If you are making multiple masks to donate click HERE for drop-off Locations
Q: Can I borrow or buy a sewing machine to make ?
A: Email us and we will TRY make this happen.
Q: Are you accepting donations at this time?
A: No! We cannot accept donations of material or tools at this time. Please consider a PayPal donation to SewGreen@Rochester to help us continue our community mission.
