Singer Model 66 with Filigree Decals. The decals are slightly worn, most likely because this machine has been hard at work since it came off the production line in August of 1947. The 66 is known for its throat size and heavy duty design. It was built to last and was considered an engineering masterpiece. Parts are still easy to find as many of these machines were produced, the demand was high in the middle of the 20th century and this machine was very popular. The 66 is a bit heavy at 30 pounds, so the cabinet is great. It is made of walnut. When open it's your personal sewing space, when closed, it becomes a nice little table in your Living room!
